Keyboardist Matt Thomas is the embodiment of the Parallax Project aesthetic: overeducated, underfunded, and hopelessly eclectic. Matt can wax rhapsodically on anything from Star Wars memorabilia to what sucks this year on Broadway. As an afficionado of vintage and quirky keyboards, Matt has a ridiculous amount of gear, and much of his arsenal of Wurlitzers, Rhodes, Korgs, and Farfisas can be heard not only on "Perpetual Limbo", but also on the recordings of Jeffrey Gaines, Darcie Miner, The Jellybricks, and Steve Ward.
Even though 3/4 of Parallax Project hold degrees in music, Matt is the only one who actually seems to have learned anything from it. Studious, dedicated, and resourceful, he is usually the last man standing.
